A 15-year-old boy from Oradea cut the neck of another teenager of the same age, on the grounds that he refused to apologize on his knees after an exchange of remarks. The assailant was detained.
The prosecutor’s office attached to the Bihor Tribunal announced on Thursday that it had ordered the detention of a 15-year-old man after cutting another teenager of the same age in the neck area with a knife, which required emergency surgery.
According to a statement from the Prosecutor’s Office, the victim was hospitalized at the County Hospital and underwent surgery. The boy will need at least 25 days of medical care if there are no complications.
The event took place on Wednesday evening, around 8 pm, in a park in Oradea. The two teenagers had an exchange of remarks, during which the defendant asked the victim to apologize on his knees for having offended him.
As the boy refused and stood, the assailant grabbed a knife and cut him in the neck.
The injured boy was transported by a SMURD crew to the County Clinical Hospital in Oradea, where he underwent emergency surgery.
The assailant was detained for 24 hours, and the prosecutor of the case issued a report with a proposal for the preventive arrest of the defendant for a period of 30 days.
