A 64-year-old man from Brăila, initially remanded in custody for 30 days for sexual assault on two 16-year-old minors, was placed under house arrest by the Brăila Court, which admitted the defendant’s appeal against the arrest measure .
The man had been detained by the police and the Brăila Court had ordered his pre-trial detention for 30 days, at the proposal of the prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Brăila Court.

The 64-year-old man had been remanded in custody for 30 days, after being accused of sexually assaulting two 16-year-olds, according to information provided on June 16 by IPJ Brăila.
“On 16.06.2022, police officers from the Criminal Investigation Bureau identified and detained, on the basis of an ordinance, for 24 hours, a 64-year-old man from Cazasu locality, suspected of committing the crime of sexual assault. In fact, on 09.02.2022 and on 03.06.2022, the man, being in the municipality of Brăila, allegedly committed two acts of sexual assault on two young women aged 16, both from the municipality of Brăila ”, it is shown in a press release of IPJ Brăila.
