Romanian swimmer Robert Glinda qualified, on Friday, in the final of the 50 m backstroke, at the World Swimming Championships in Budapest, with the sixth time in the semifinals, 24 sec 54/100.
Also on Friday, Glinţ (25 years old), legitimated at CS Dinamo, had obtained the seventh time in the series, 24 sec 79/100.
The best time in the semifinals was achieved by the American Justin Ress, 24 sec 14/100, gold medalist in Budapest with the 4×100 m freestyle relay of the USA. The final will take place on Saturday, at 19:02.
Robert Glinţ took the 8th place in the 100 m backstroke final, according to Agerpres.
Romania has two gold medals won at the World Championships in Budapest, both by the young David Popovici, in the 100 m freestyle and 200 m freestyle, respectively.
