With an installation size of only 5MB and modest RAM and CPU requirements, Outlook Lite could be a good email client to use with older Android phones that don’t offer the best experience with common solutions like Gmail.
Aiming to gain users from a still large category of owners of phones that are too old or poorly equipped to run in acceptable conditions even the usual Android applications, Microsoft has developed Outlook Lite, a new email client with basic functionality.
Optimized for devices with at least 1GB of RAM, the new email client can work just as well over severely limited mobile internet connections in areas with only 3G or even 2G coverage.

Apart from the basic functionality of an email client, Outlook Lite also has a Calendar function, i.e. a contact book that makes it easier to find the people you want to communicate with.
As an underserved app, Microsoft is releasing Outlook Lite only to users in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Mexico, Peru, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and Venezuela , but without excluding the possibility of expansion to other countries, if there is demand for such an email solution.
