Action-adventure fans can rejoice as Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games continue to reveal exciting details about Remnant 2, the highly anticipated sequel to Remnant: From the Ashes. While the release date is scheduled for this summer, the studios have unveiled a new character class that promises epic close combat: the Challenger.
A new class that will hit the mark in close combat
After introducing the Gunslinger and Hound Handler, Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games have unveiled the Challenger, an archetype class that should delight players who love melee combat. With an ability to deal massive damage up close, the Challenger also benefits from the Dead or Alive core perk, allowing it to continue the fight even after sustaining mortal wounds. In addition, thanks to the Solid Bone trait, he is able to reduce the equipped load, allowing him to approach melee with disconcerting agility.
As fans eagerly await the release of Remnant 2, details about the game continue to unfold bit by bit. Players will soon be able to dive into this post-apocalyptic universe and face formidable enemies alongside unique and powerful characters. Remnant 2, the sequel to Remnant: From The Ashes, is slated for Summer 2023 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S only.
When you want to look death in the face and laugh at it, it’s CHALLENGER time. 💪
In Remnant 2, the Challenger archetype is THE close-to-medium-range destroyer. He intimidates his enemies with his mere presence and inflicts brutal ranged and melee damage to anyone foolish enough to cross his path.
