A man and a woman are being investigated for aggravated theft, because they allegedly stole 58,000 euros from a coat left unattended, on the back of a chair, in the premises of a casino in Sector 1.
“On May 25, the police officers of the General Directorate of Police of the Municipality of Bucharest (DGPMB) – Section 1 Police executed a warrant for a home search, in Galati County, at the residence of two persons against whom investigations are being carried out regarding the commission of the crime of qualified theft”, informs a press release from the DGPMB.
From the data and evidence administered in the case, it was reasonable to assume that, on May 11, taking advantage of the injured person’s inattention, a man and a woman stole 58,000 euros from a coat left unattended on the back of a chair , in the premises of a casino in Sector 1, writes Agerpres.
The persons in question will be taken to hearings in order to continue the investigations and take the necessary legal measures.
“The action benefits from the support of the Special Operations Directorate within the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, as well as the support of the Galati County Police Inspectorate,” the quoted source says.
The investigations are continued by the police officers of the 1st Police Department, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the 1st District Court, under the aspect of committing the crime of qualified theft.
