“Special intervention, completed successfully, a few minutes ago, by a medical team of the hospital, made up of doctors and medical assistants from the specialties of orthopedics and anesthesia! Dr. Bogdan Jitaru, specialist in orthopedics and traumatology, performed a hip replacement on an extremely brave 100-year-old woman from Arada!“, the Arad County Hospital announced on Friday, in a post on Facebook.
The woman arrived at the hospital after falling in her home.
“The patient arrived in the Emergency Unit after falling at home, suffering a hip fracture. The doctors immediately carried out the necessary investigations, finding that a specialized intervention is required to apply a hip prosthesis”the representatives of the medical unit also sent.
The intervention lasted about an hour.
