Game news “S***, I shouldn’t have updated”: The new Zelda Tears of the Kingdom update is terribly frustrating Nintendo Switch players!
Available since May 12 exclusively on Nintendo Switch, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (aka TotK) still reveals its secrets. For the past two weeks, players have notably found a glitch allowing them to duplicate their objects. A happiness that was short-lived for some.
Tears of the Kingdom: rich exploration, precious resources
Two weeks later, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom continues to engage players around the world. Despite the mastery of some who have already finished the game 100% (in 139 hours all the same), others take their time to explore a Hyrule redesigned by the cataclysm caused (indirectly) by Link and Zelda. A journey that includes many activities to perform such as the Korogus playing hide and seek, the return of shrines and watchtowers, but also many side quests. But it is also all the resources that we find on the way that can be important.
Apple, Bokoblin fang, ruby… Everything is important in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. The kitchen allows you to concoct dishes whose primary use is to recover life points but can also be used to fight against the cold. With the arrival of Amalgam, a power that Link wields, anything can be fused with his bow, sword and shield. Finally, gems are an interesting way to earn money but can just as easily be used for your offensive or defensive arsenal.
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: the new update is here
Sometimes rare but always precious resources that players had managed to keep in a roundabout way. Thanks to a ”glitch”, a malfunction of the game allowing to do things not wanted by the developers, it was possible to duplicate any of its objects. A very practical “feature” that disappears with the latest update of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It was deployed last night by Nintendo with 1.1.2:
Worm. 1.1.2 (Released May 25, 2023)

An update that frustrates some
This update therefore does not specifically mention the duplication glitch. This does not mean that it has not been corrected, according to the reaction of many players on the web. It is on the social network Reddit that a topic was opened on the subject, listing attitudes more virulent than others:
Damn, I shouldn’t have updated
Nintendo: “Tears of the Kingdom encourages you to play your way!
Players: *play how they want, including playing with glitches*
Nintendo: “No, not like that”.
What bullshit ! The game is a single player game, unless there is a glitch that renders the game unplayable, that sh*t doesn’t need to be fixed. People who use this glitch do not negatively affect other players.
More than frustration, it is a certain relief that we observe. The majority of players seem content that they didn’t update the game to benefit from this glitch in order to remain the “richest guy in Hyrule”. Others feel they don’t mind going rough. In any case, this can allow the search for an effective way (without cheating) to win a maximum of rubies. Something to savor your journey even more in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
