The policemen from Gorj stopped, on a national road in the county, two cars, one towed by the other, which had the same registration number. The checks showed that the towed car was registered in circulation, but with different numbers, which is why the police opened a criminal case regarding the crime of putting into circulation or driving a vehicle on public roads with a false registration number.
The two cars were stopped for control, on Thursday, by the policemen from the Rovinari City Police, on national road 66, in Rovinari, writes News.ro
According to the police, a car driven by a 22-year-old man from the city of Băile Herculane, Caraş Severin county, was towing another car driven by a 21-year-old man from the same locality, with plates with the same registration number as of the car driven by the 22-year-old.
“Following the checks carried out, the police determined that the registration numbers belonged to the car driven by the 22-year-old, and the towed car was registered in circulation with other numbers. In the case, a criminal case was drawn up under the aspect of committing the crime of putting into circulation or driving a vehicle on public roads with a false registration number”, the Gorj County Police informs on Friday.
