The Romanian state is trying to satisfy its pensioners, so a proposal provides for the addition of 480 lei to the monthly pension. This help for the elderly was proposed by the Ministry of Family, Youth and Equal Opportunities and the National Authority for the Protection of Children’s Rights and Adoption, with the aim of increasing the birth rate in Romania.
Therefore, all parents who went to work abroad, and their children remained in the care of their grandparents during this entire period, can bring their parents an extra income of 480 lei per month. Last year, the law was approved according to which parents who chose to work abroad must notify the town hall to which they belonged within 40 days before leaving the country, regarding the persons in whose care the dependent children remain.
The statistics show dizzying numbers, considering that more and more parents choose the path of foreignness in order to secure wages that allow them and their children to live decently. The children who remained in the country and whose parents went abroad, according to the data, reached the figure of 69,000, and of these, more than 13,000 have both parents gone.
