When it comes to Romanian pensions, pensioners have several mechanisms at their disposal through which they can get hold of the money, but the most popular of them involves the postman knocking on your door. However, in the situation where you are not at home to receive the money and the pension slip, it would be good to consider a few aspects. Of course, but your money doesn’t add up to much at the local Romanian Post office.
It probably doesn’t happen very often, and most of the time you’re waiting for the current month’s pension like hot cakes. For this reason, when you know the postman is coming with the check and the money, you make an effort to be at home. However, there are exceptions, and if you belong to the pensioners category, you should consider some important aspects. Of course, but otherwise you have a long way to go for your money.
Where do you get your pension if you missed the postman
In Romania, according to the law, if you are not at home when the postman comes with your pension, you can recover your monetary rights from the nearest post office, but only for a period of two working days, after the last payment day of the respective month. If you miss the deadline, the pensions go back to the territorial pension house, where they can be collected later.
“For authorized pensioners (those who are not found at home) the monetary rights and the payment document can be picked up from post offices within two working days after the last payment day of the respective month.
Otherwise, the pensions return to the territorial pension house where they can be requested for payment reordering.
For people who collect their pension in a current account or card account, in the situation where they were not found at home and were approved, the information documents regarding the amounts paid (purple slips), unsolicited by the beneficiaries, are kept at the post office until the last working day of the current month.
Starting with the rights related to March 2021, the purple coupons are archived at the headquarters of the County Post Office, respectively of the sector Post Offices for a period of 24 months, without being returned to the territorial pension houses.
These information documents can be sent, upon request, to the home of the interested persons – beneficiaries or their proxies.
After the expiration of the 24 months, the information documents will be sent to the territorial pension houses”, draw the attention of officials from the National Public Pension House.
