After 35 years, the cult saga of Tim Burton is back. The project to make a Beetlejuice 2 is announced as early as February 2022 and according to Warner Bros, the film should be released on September 6, 2024 in the United States. No date has yet been announced for France, but generally, the films are released two days before. Ideally, you will be able to discover it on September 4, 2024 in France. Beetlejuice 2 has been in production since this year and filming should begin shortly.

Like in the first movie, the ghost was causing trouble for the Deetz family, but this time around Beetlejuice is there to help them and becomes the hero by winning a surfing contest. Beetlejuice 2 could therefore take up some ideas from this aborted feature film.
Who directs the movie Beetlejuice 2?
As with the first film, it’s Tim Burton who is at the realization of Beetlejuice 2. He is particularly known for his singular universe and his many projects, each one more cult than the other. He notably worked on Edward Scissorhands, Alice in Wonderland and Les Noces Funèbres. On the other hand, contrary to what many people think, he did not direct The Nightmare Before Christmas, he was only the producer.
What is the cast of Beetlejuice 2?
Warner Bros. is still looking for actors for the project, but a few announcements have already been made about it. Michael Keaton et Winona Ryder will reprise their respective roles, i.e. the characters of Beetlejuice and the daughter of the Deetz family. Lydia will even have a child played by the rising star Jenna Ortega who you know for his role on Wednesday in the eponymous series broadcast on Netflix. Justin Theroux (Mulholland Drive) is also involved, however its role is still unknown. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Monica Bellucci (Matrix Reloaded, Shoot’Em Up Let the Game Begin) is in talks to play Beetlejuice’s wife.
