Unidentified persons poured a foam-producing substance into the water of an artesian well located in the center of Ploiesti, near the City Hall. It is not the first time that such an incident takes place in Ploiesti. In the summer of last year, detergent was poured into several artesian wells in the city, writes News.ro
The information regarding the vandalism of one of the artesian wells in the center of Ploieşti was made public, on Tuesday, by the company in charge of maintaining the public domain, SC Servicii de Gospodărire Urbană SRL, a company whose shareholder is the Ploieşti Local Council.
“Through sustained efforts, the employees of our company continue the maintenance activities of the artesian fountains in the city, in order to ensure their proper functioning and offer the public a special night show. Unfortunately, to the detriment of our numerous appeals to civility, there are still people lacking common sense, who vandalize these objectives, even shortly after their repair”, the company’s representatives said.
They ask those who notice such acts of vandalism to call the telephone numbers of the RASP Dispatch (0244/984) and the Local Police (0244/954).
And in the summer of last year, unknown persons poured, most likely, detergent into several artesian wells in Ploiesti.
Moreover, the authorities in this city are frequently faced with acts of vandalism, in various areas of the city playgrounds or park furniture have been destroyed.
