Former Republican Vice President Mike Pence is preparing to enter the 2024 presidential election race on June 7, thus running against his former boss, two informed sources told Reuters on Wednesday, according to Agerpres.
Pence will launch his campaign with a video and speech in Iowa, the sources said.
After standing by former President Donald Trump during his tenure in the White House, Mike Pence began to distance himself from him after his defeat in the 2020 presidential election, saying he endangered his family by encouraging protesters who took assault on the Capitol, on January 6, 2021, reminds Reuters.
