Good news for employees in Romania, after the Pentecost mini-vacation. According to a draft law under debate, employees from our country, both from the state and from the private sector, will be able to benefit from a new day off. What under what conditions will be granted.
Employees in Romania could get a new day off
A new bill under debate brings good news for our employees in the country. According to the document, any employee, regardless of whether they work for the state or the private sector, will be able to benefit from a new day off, upon request, to carry out first aid courses.
First aid courses organized by state institutions, by those from ISU, but also associations and non-governmental organizations or any other specialized and authorized entity are accepted.
“Employees will be able to take first aid courses at “institutions, associations, non-governmental organizations or legal entities authorized and/or competent, according to the law, to organize and conduct these courses”, as appears in the document.
According to the project submitted to the Parliament by USR deputy Alin Apostol, the day off will be paid to the employee, but the employer will be able to recover it from the state, by reducing the income tax due during that period.
“70,000 Romanians die annually because they do not receive first aid in time. We thought of a mechanism by which we neither oblige nor burden employers.
We encourage those who want to take first aid courses so that, in the event of an incident, they can help those in need”, states Alin Apostol.
