In 2019, a working shell was found in a closet in an apartment in the Capital, so the residents of two apartment buildings were evacuated. The authorities were alerted by a man who found the dangerous object in his grandmother’s home.
At that time, some of the pensioner’s neighbors said that the woman had a son who worked for a long time in the Army, he being the one who brought the projectile to his mother’s apartment, for reasons unknown and difficult to understand.
Other sources said that the shell was actually given to the pensioner by her husband and that not knowing what the object represented, the woman decided to store it in a cupboard.
More recently, in April of this year, a grenade that could come from the Second World War was discovered in the garden of a local from Coteana commune, Olt county. The man was working in the garden when he discovered the grenade.
