If the accommodation prices are still low, the tourists had some not-so-pleasant surprises when they wanted to eat. Many Romanians chose to take advantage of the days off from the state and turned the mini-holiday of June 1st and Pentecost into the first holiday on the Romanian coast of the Black Sea. Hoteliers and owners of restaurants and bars have prepared for the huge wave of tourists, as the first stage of the “Coast for all” program is being carried out during this period.
If the rates for accommodation have not increased, in restaurants, the situation is completely different, the prices being quite high compared to last year. Thus, if in a restaurant of the “push the tray” type in Eforie Nord, a soup costs around 20 lei, at a restaurant, the price for the same dish reaches 35 lei.
In one of the most famous restaurants in Agigea, customers have to pay around one hundred lei for a seafood combo platter for two people. The higher variant, for five people, can reach up to 200 lei.

Where are the highest prices?
A portion of fried anchovies costs at least 25 for 200 grams, the price also includes the sauce. In the same area, at another restaurant, the same dish, to which a polenta garnish is added on the stove, costs 36 lei for 200 grams.
The biggest surprises remain in Mamaia, the resort that attracts the most tourists. There, a portion of mititei and fried potatoes costs around 40 lei, fish borscht is 35 lei, and a simple polenta with cheese will take 32 lei out of people’s pockets.
