Street Fighter 6
The month of June starts very strong and it will be with Street Fighter 6, neither more nor less than one of the most awaited games of the year. It must be said that it’s not every day that a new opus comes out, each episode being planned to last a long, very long time… and for this sixth vintage, Capcom has gone into overdrive: new art style to die for, blooming details thanks to the RE Engin enginee (used for Resident Evil or Devil May Cry 5)even sharper gameplay with new combat possibilities, a cast that promises to be tough with new faces… and we obviously have to talk about the single player mode, where we can explore open areas around the world, create your own character and evolve with a skill tree. Of course, multiplayer is also expected at the turn: let it be said, Street Fighter 6 is extremely promising and if you like 2D fighting games, it’s happening here.

Made to last (which it does admirably well), The Elder Scrolls Online will soon be offering its brand new extension, called Necrom. This will be part of a new arc, that of Shadow on Morrowind, which began with a dungeon pack released last March. No matter, it is this generous DLC that promises to be the spearhead of this unprecedented saga for Bethesda’s MMO: players will therefore go to the Telvanni Peninsula (where the capital, Necrom is) and Apocrypha, two new regions to explore. With new script challenges, but also many quests, Antiquities, bosses, objects, weapons, as well as two new companions – , Redguard Arcanist Azandar Al-Cybiades and Argonian Guardian Nightsick – Necom promises long and rich hours of content. Probably a safe bet if you’re already familiar with The Elder Scrolls Online.

Diablo IV
Absolutely cult saga, Diablo will soon give birth to a fourth episode numbered on June 6th. A date eagerly awaited by a huge community and we understand why: the Blizzard franchise has proven to be very influential in the video game landscape and after all, there is no studio that better masters hack’n slash than him. We will therefore find our old habits with an isometric camera, these good old character classes and these mobs to knock out by the dozen: for once, the American firm will offer a real open world to explore as we see fit, always with well-bodied dungeons and deliberately nasty bosses. If you have dozens and dozens – it can also be counted in hundreds – of hours of play to unleash in a powerful universe, alone or in cooperation with other players, Diablo IV is simply an excellent choice. It will be talked about severely when it is released, take our word for it… especially since Blizzard should maintain it for years and years with a whole system of seasons.

MotoGP 23
Like football, basketball and other sports, the bike also has its chestnut video game. You certainly know the MotoGP video games that have been around for ages now and here is the 2023 version: the idea is always to transcribe as well as possible (and officially, by the way) the famous MotoGP competition, a bit like the Formula 1 on two wheels. This new vintage will offer a revised career mode, more customization options and still as many pilots and motorcycles that throw it. The dynamic weather is also present while the multiplayer, online as in split screen, is also there to densify the content. If you like motor sports, you can let yourself be tempted.

Greyhill Incident
If Signs had been adapted into a video game, maybe it would have been Greyhill Incident. This independent horror game is largely inspired by Night Shyamalan’s film, but also by the great classics of the genre: we play Ryan, a young American farmer whose cornfields are under attack by aliens. Heavy atmosphere, supernatural lights, flying saucer and other little green men (rather gray, in this case) to knock out with a baseball bat are then on the program of this rather attractive atmospheric experience on paper. In fact, it is still difficult to know if this title developed by Refugium Games will be a good video game, but its atmosphere and its concept – that of exploring a rural region of the 90s invaded by UFOs – have something to seduce more than a player eager for shivering sensations. We will be fixed very quickly since the software will arrive on June 9th.

F1 23
F1 23 once again has every chance of establishing itself as a very good car simulation. Once again, we will find with impressive fidelity the entire F1 championship with all the drivers, teams, vehicles and circuits: two new tracks are also on the program, namely the Losail International Circuit in Qatar (which we had already seen in 2021) and the Sin City Circuit in Las Vegas. For the rest of the tracks, all will be updated to best fit this new season of the championship. We will find a priori the mode allowing to drive supercars, initiated in the previous game, as well as a scripted career mode and a very sharp multiplayer. If the formula will not change much compared to F1 22, it nevertheless promises to be under control.

Crash Team Rumble
After having revitalized the franchise with a trilogy of remakes, a very nice kart game and downright a completely new (and excellent) Crash 4, the saga is now trying out other horizons with Crash Team Rumble: that of multiplayer! Here, we are talking about 4 versus 4 matches where the emblematic figures of the series (good and bad) team up or collect Wumpa fruits on the map and win the game. Each character nevertheless has their own skills, there are always big platform mechanics and a cooperative aspect adds a new grain of salt to the license. We say “why not” and we sincerely hope that this new software will brighten up our evenings with friends. Sometimes you need light and cheerful games like this.

Aliens : Dark Descent
The Alien saga and the video game is a love story that has lasted for decades. Aliens Dark Descent will therefore be the next proposal from the franchise, set in the very naughty universe of Aliens, the second film in the saga. And for once, the squad of marines that we will control, whose mission will be to eliminate as many xenomorphs as possible, will rely on a slightly different gameplay: the title is effectively a real-time tactical action game, with open levels to explore and even a permanent death system. It will therefore be necessary to secure areas, ensure its rear, repel the enemy and compose a team of functional soldiers thanks to five character classes. A game that promises to be rather intelligent and demanding, and certainly refreshing when you see the latest Aliens in the video game landscape.

Sonic Origins Plus
We already had Sonic Origins a while ago, but here is Sonic Origins Plus, an even more careful and generous compilation with sixteen Sonic video games (including Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD) including twelve from the Game Gear catalog, all playable in high definition or original mode. We also count new characters, new modes, new challenges or even new intro and end credits for each game. There’s also a bunch of bonus content to unlock like mirror mode, hidden levels, music player, little cartoons, and more. If you are an unconditional fan of the blue hedgehog or “old-fashioned” games, here is something to drink for a while.
