When we go on vacation, we always make sure that we leave the apartment or house in order. We close the windows, make sure we don’t leave things we don’t use plugged in, and that there’s no danger of something happening while we’re gone. However, we often face a problem: an unpleasant smell.
Pour oil into the sink before going on vacation
Most of the time, when we get back home after a week’s vacation, we are faced with an unpleasant smell. Well, in most of the cases, this smell comes from the sink, from the plumbing, where the dirty water accumulates in the curved water pipes.
If we use the sink often, the water will not stand still, so we will not smell bad smells. But, if it is not used for a long period of time, the microorganisms in the pipes are not evacuated, and because of this we face the unpleasant smell.
To get rid of this problem, pour a glass of oil down the drain before leaving home. The greasy liquid will mix with the water and keep it from getting smelly, and when you get home you won’t have that problem anymore.

Distilled white and apple cider vinegar are also great for cleaning the inside and outside of the fridge, for example. You can use it diluted with water, and the fridge will smell clean and look flawless.
