A case of extreme animal cruelty was recorded in Galati, where a puppy and her seven puppies were put in a bag and abandoned on a plot of land near the train station. One of the puppies died and all the puppies would have met the same fate if an animal protection association had not intervened.
The dog and her seven cubs were put in a raffia bag and dumped on the ground near the railway station. Some residents of the area found her and tried to free the quadrupeds, but the efforts were unsuccessful. In the end, they notified the “Ajutati l pe Lăbuș” Association, which intervened urgently.
“Mother with 7 cubs, one dead and 6 alive, abandoned with no chance of survival. The poor puppy struggled until she managed to get her head and front legs out of the killing sack. One day and one night, some residents of the area (station, the former car park, next to the public garden) struggled to catch her to free her, but they did not succeed. Because of the sack, her back legs were inside and she couldn’t feed her puppies. And unexpectedly, I managed to convince her to let me help her“, the members of the association wrote on Facebook on Sunday.
A few hours later they returned with another message and more photos of the abandoned animals:
“God, how much hunger has the poor puppy endured!? Eat, puke, eat, puke… Her chicks are also malnourished. Hopefully we saved them in time and they will survive. They are very small considering that their eyes are already open. Be with the “Sac” family and help us give them a chance for a healthy and beautiful life”.
The puppy and the puppies took to the shelter of the association.
