A woman in the United States has shared on social media how she discovered a secret room in her home four years after she moved out. Especially since she got the biggest scare of her life when she opened a door that was hidden by a wall.
She discovered a door hidden behind wallpaper while redecorating the home she lived in with her family for four years before making the terrifying discovery. The woman also added that she moved not long after experiencing the fright of her life.
What was hidden in the “secret” room
On Reddit, she said: “There was a door hidden behind the wallpaper – obviously the doorknob had been removed so it blends in with the wall in the hall.” Not knowing what she would find inside, the woman opened the door expecting it to be full of cobwebs, the Mirror writes.
However, she was totally unprepared for what actually hid inside.
“I saw a skeleton in the corner – I’m not going to lie that scared me. Although it was just a prop left by the former owners of our house,” she added.
Commenting on the post, one user said: “I like to imagine there’s a guy out there who every once in a while remembers the skeleton he put in a hidden room and chuckles wondering if anyone found it until now.”
Another user added: “You need to reseal the room before you sell it so you can pass on the tradition.”
A third user said: “Leave a note with a fake age behind a skirting board in one of the bedrooms.”
“Seriously, someone would have a real treasure hunt later, and it would all be auspicious in the end. Think how much fun it would be for the next person to find the ticket and the camera, no matter what order they find them,” another netizen posted.
