Gabriela Sabatini gave an interview in which she spoke about the fact that Simona Halep was not judged, although she requested an emergency procedure. The athlete from Romania was provisionally suspended on October 7 and in these eight months she dropped 26 places in the WTA ranking.
“I love her as a player, she’s great, she’s downright great and it’s really sad not to see her play these days because of what’s happened. From what I’ve read it was unfair and I’m sure that’s the case so I hope they fix the issue and the suspension and she’ll be back soon. We all want her back on the field.
