New detailed information about Kazuma Kiryu’s next adventure has been revealed even before it was officially announced. The Like a Dragon series, developed by SEGA and formerly known as Yakuza in the West, recently received a remaster of Like a Dragon: Ishin! on current consoles and PC. However, this does not mark the end of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s projects.
Like a Dragon Gaiden : The Man Who Erased His Name prévu pour le 9 novembre ?
In September 2022, the studio unveiled Like a Dragon 8 with characters Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu, slated for release in 2024. Additionally, a prequel centered on Kazuma Kiryu was also announced, titled Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. It is precisely this spin-off, initially scheduled for 2023, that interests us since the PlayStation Store accidentally revealed many details about the game. Briefly accessible to some users via their console, the page in question has already leaked on the internet and you can find its description at the end of our article.
Players would thus have the opportunity to follow the adventures of Joryu, the pseudonym used by Kazuma Kiryu after simulating his own death. Interestingly, buying the game on PS4 will allow players to play it on both Sony’s consoles at no additional cost, thanks to a free upgrade.
This leak suggests that an official announcement could be made during one of the upcoming events, such as Summer Game Fest Live or Xbox Games Showcase. Additionally, the RGG Summit Summer 2023 is scheduled for June 16, which suggests that this information could be officially unveiled on this occasion.
Like a Dragon Gaiden : The Man Who Erased His Name sortirait le jeudi 9 novembre sur PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One et PC.
