The Ukrainian presidential adviser, Mihailo Podoliak, commented on Twitter about the destruction of the Nova Kahovka dam, and says that Russian propaganda “considers both Kherson and the coastal villages as its territories, and the local population as ‘Russians'”. In fact, Moscow hates the local population, says Podoliak, who adds that Russia “needs territory under any conditions, but it doesn’t need people.”
“Right now, Russia is bombing the Kherson, which is sinking, and has flooded coastal areas, preventing rescuers from evacuating the population. At the same time, they do not even try to carry out evacuation actions in the occupied territories. People are sitting on the roofs of buildings without food or water, under the sun and under shelling,” Podoliak wrote on Twitter.
“Let me remind you that Russian propaganda considers both the Kherson and the coastal villages to be its territories and the local population to be ‘Russians.’ In fact, Russia hates the local population. Hate, for refusing to be hugged. Just like Russia hates everything to do with Ukraine. They need territory under any conditions, but they don’t need people. Do you know why Russians actually feel so free? Because they know very well: whatever they do, they will swallow it again. And tomorrow, the news will appear in the world press: «What happened? Ukraine says Russia is bombing people. Russia says it’s a meteor shower. What is true? Hard to say. And now to the sports news…». So, maybe it’s time to start calling evil evil, and stop looking into the mouths of war criminals,” the presidential adviser added.
