Yesterday, June 8, 2023, was the big night of the Summer Game Fest. However, there was not only video games on the program ! As a good master of ceremonies, Geoff Keighley punctuated his evening with a few cultural intermissions: it is in particular thanks to this that we were able to discover a first extract from the series Twisted Metal and especially, a new trailer for the upcoming third season of the series The Witcher. For this new burst of episodes, Netflix takes up the concept already applied to Stranger Things by splitting season 3 into two parts : there will be some a first from June 29and the next from July 27 !
To follow up on the excerpt broadcast last April, Netflix had concocted a new trailer for us! The revelation had also been teased the day before on social networks. Beyond launching a reflection between Geralt and Jaskier on the concept of neutrality, the excerpt of the day did not want to leave us unmoved and put the small dishes in the big ones by revealing a mixture of sequences where we can admire Geralt’s talent with the sword, Ciri’s natural predisposition to magic and the still formidable powers of Yennefer. In short, in less than three minutes, we feel that the series is racing — the mere appearance of the Wild Hunt riders must have made more than one fan exult — and that she wants to give Henry Cavill the last stand he deserves ! Netflix didn’t do things by halves before Henry Cavill’s departure, Geralt goes wild
As in the previous communication around season 3, we feel that our trio of heroes, and more mainly Geralt, is not on his plate, somewhat frightened by the events that are taking place. On the fan side, with this first extract, we seemed much more terrified by the cheap look of the suits that some have not failed to compare to the clothing line H&M. For this segment of the public, it was enough to boycott the Netflix series which, as they recall, will not have the same flavor once all the episodes have been broadcast.
We don’t intend to talk about it again in length, breadth and across, but this will be Henry Cavill’s final appearance as Geralt of Rivia. According to the designer, everything could have ended with this season 3, but the prospect of continuing the show with a fourth season, while giving the White Wolf the face of Liam Hemsworth, seemed more opportunistic.
