Bad news for Romanians! Vouchers for paying bills will no longer be granted starting next year. The announcement was confirmed by Marcel Boloș, the Minister of European Funds. The official comes with explanations and claims that the European Union has decided not to extend the support measures.
Romanians will no longer receive vouchers for paying bills
Romanians have to say goodbye to vouchers for paying bills. Starting next year, these vouchers will no longer be granted, Observator announces. Marcel Boloș confirmed this information. The official cited the fact that the European Union decided not to extend the support measures.
With the help of these vouchers, worth 1,400 lei, Romanians could pay their energy bills. The beneficiaries of this program received part of the money in February of this year. They will receive the second installment in the autumn. If these vouchers do not enter, then 4 million Romanians will be affected.
How can Romanians stay without this help?
However, there are other ways in which Romanians can lose the money granted through the energy cards. Many Romanians have faced this situation. Beneficiaries lost their state aid after moving. The authorities also come up with the explanation and claim that payments by postal order to energy suppliers are made only when there is a correlation between the address on the card and the one in the bulletin of the person receiving aid.
“Cases have been reported in which, upon change of residence, the beneficiaries of support can no longer access the support received, given that payments by postal order (to suppliers – no) are made only in cases where there is correspondence between the address on the card of energy and the residence from the identity document of the beneficiary of support.
As a result, it is necessary to regulate these situations, in order to avoid possible blockages at the beneficiary level and to eliminate some limits identified in the implementation of the mechanism for granting support”, says an official document.
To avoid this, the beneficiaries can inform Compania Natională Poșta Română when they change their domicile or residence. To do this, they can send the information both to post offices and by phone, to the dedicated number for reports or by informing the postman.
If it is considered that the beneficiary is eligible for the new place of consumption, for which an energy card was not previously issued, the subsidies for the former home will be cancelled. Last but not least, a new energy card will be issued, taking over the available balance, where applicable.
