The Chamber of Deputies met on Thursday, at 11:00 a.m., to vacate the post of president of the forum, after Marcel Ciolacu’s resignation from this position. The deputies will also vote for the vice presidents of the legislative forum.
According to the decision of the Permanent Bureau, the plenary session will also vacate two positions of vice president of the Chamber, after Florin Roman (PNL) and Ciprian Şerban (PSD) submitted their resignations, writes Agerpres.
After the vacancy of the three positions in the Permanent Bureau, the plenary session of the Chamber will proceed to appoint, by secret vote, Alfred Simonis, proposed by the PSD group, and Lucian Bode, proposed by the PNL group, to the positions of vice presidents.
Nicolae Ciucă, the president of the PNL, announced on Wednesday that Lucian Bode will deal more with the political activity of the party and that he will not be part of the Ciolacu Government.
According to some parliamentary sources, Alfred Simonis, once appointed as the vice-president of the Chamber, will be appointed interim president of the legislative forum.
