In addition to the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, Konami also plans to release several other classics from its successful franchise with Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 which will also be sold in a good old fashioned format as we love them.
Snake and Big Boss resist with their box version
The developer has indeed revealed that a boxed version of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 will also be marketed from October 24 on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5 and PC. Excellent news at a time when the dematerialized option is taking more and more space in the video game industry. The announcement was made earlier on the Twitter account dedicated to the license.
As a reminder, this collection will offer no less than seven games, here is the list:
- Metal Gear
- Metal Gear 2 : Solid Snake,
- Metal Gear Solid (VR Missions/Special Missions),
- Metal Gear Solid 2 : Sons of Liberty (HD Collection version),
- Metal Gear Solid 3 : Snake Eater (HD Collection version),
- Metal Gear (NES/FC version)
- Snake’s Revenge
It goes without saying that players will have plenty to do during the fall. Older and younger alike will soon be able to take a nice trip down memory lane by discovering or rediscovering a series of games that wrote one of the most beautiful pages in the history of video games.
It will be necessary to count on a price around 60€ to acquire this first collection while waiting for the continuation of the program organized by Konami. Several rumors indeed indicate that Metal Gear Solid Master Collection vol.2 would be on track, its content would have even already leaked.
In addition to home consoles, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 will of course be available on PC. The coming months promise to be auspicious for fans of the saga.
METAL GEAR SOLID : MASTER COLLECTION Vol.1 will have physical editions for Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X
