He left the country wanting to live unforgettable experiences and return home with beautiful memories, but the reality was quite different. A Romanian told what happened during his vacation in Albania. He revealed online what exactly disappointed him so much.
A Romanian told why his vacation in Albania disappointed him
In recent years, more and more groups for those who love to travel have started to appear on social media platforms. There, netizens share their experiences in different countries, making recommendations to those who are going to reach the same tourist destinations.
A Romanian who went on vacation in Albania with a motorhome really had an unforgettable experience, but in a negative way. The man said he was disappointed with what he found in the European country, talking about the differences between regions and the fact that almost all traders try to trick tourists.
“I clarified with Albania. From south to north or even from Durres to Tirana there is a difference between heaven and earth, although it is only a few km. In the southern part there is maximum poverty and in all the tourist areas everyone is put to shame, only it has a sucker pool. Already in Tirana, where we mingled with the locals, no one tried any maneuvers. (…) Such a disappointment as I experienced this year with Albania, I have not lived in any country in all of Europe”, he said, on the CamperVan Romania Facebook group.

What do tourists experience?
After another netizen asked him to provide more details, the man advised those who are going to get there to be very careful about the quality of the food, regardless of the restaurant they go to, and the prices, pointing out that “most traders of any kind try to somehow twist the prices up against you”.
“Albania is worse than Romania in the 2000s. My advice is to be cautious about everything, especially what you eat, it smells before you put it in your mouth even if the restaurant looks good and don’t be afraid to make a fuss and get up from the table.
I noticed that the average cap is between 20 and 30% in general, motivating a currency exchange difference or inadvertently betting on the rest”, added the Romanian.
