The mayor of Craiova, Lia Olguța Vasilescu, wrote on Facebook that the ground floor, the first floor and the laundry room of the Traian Vuia High School were renovated, the bathrooms being completely redone. But the toilets that the students would use were installed next to each other, without being separated to provide privacy. The mayor’s post was made on Wednesday, and on Friday evening the images of the new toilets were deleted.

“The ground floor, the first floor and the laundry room of Traian Vuia High School were renovated, the bathrooms were completely redone, where the tiles and faience were changed, the common rooms, but also the classrooms, where repairs were made to the masonry and plaster. New PVC carpet has been installed throughout, the electrical and light fixtures have been changed and the interior woodwork has been replaced.
The ground floor of the building is, at the moment, used by the Ion Creangă kindergarten, whose building has undergone total renovation through a project financed by European funds. After this period, the classrooms will again be occupied by high school students.
We continue to invest in Craiova schools to ensure excellent educational conditions for our children!”, says Mayor Lia Olguța Vasilescu’s message sent on Facebook on Wednesday.
The Facebook post is accompanied by photos of the result of the renovation, but the original pictures showing the toilets sitting next to each other, without being separated in any way, were deleted on Friday evening.
