The month of August started with a new episode of heatwave, specialists from the National Meteorological Administration issued, in the last days, several code yellow or orange warnings of heightened thermal discomfort and maximum temperatures that approached 40 degrees Celsius.

In the western, central and northern regions, as well as in the mountainous areas, it will be cold. The maximums will be between 21 degrees Celsius, the hills of Crisana and 35 degrees Celsius in Moldova and the east of Muntenia.

A wave of cold air enters Romania
In the week of August 7-14, according to ANM, the values displayed by thermometers will be below those considered normal for this period, throughout the country, especially in the northwestern regions. The rainfall regime will be slightly excessive in the northeastern half of the country, and in the rest it will be generally close to normal for this interval.
During August 15-21, “average temperatures will generally be around the specific ones for this period, at the level of the entire country. The amounts of precipitation will be slightly deficient in most of the country, but especially in the mountainous areas”the meteorologists reported.
The last week of August will bring a slight warming of the weather.
