CSA Steaua is trying to get the last hundred meters the right to promote in the first league. The leaders of the club are negotiating with several investors, and if this association is realized, the change in the form of organization will occur and thus the last obstacle to this goal will be removed.
CSA Steaua wants to change its form of organization
CSA Steaua starts today, 8.08.2023, the season in the second league without the right to promotion. At this moment, the situation is similar to the one at the end of the last championship, when Daniel Oprița’s team finished in second place and could have reached the Romanian SuperLiga, if it had been a private club and not a public club.
CSA Steaua negotiated with several investors, but did not reach a common denominator, and now they have to rush the situation. The Stelistilor 1947 Association claims that the situation will be resolved soon, and those who represent this group have conveyed that they will be part of the future structure.
Asociatia Stelistilor 1947, official message, on the day CSA Steaua starts the season in League 2
The 1947 Players Association sent an official communication and claims that CSA Steaua has informed the Romanian Football Federation that the form of organization will change.
“YES, Clubul Steaua notified, during regular time, the Romanian Football Federation that it will change its status to a private law entity in order to promote in League 1 in football.
All the necessary documents will be submitted by Steaua, after the discussions with the private partners will be completed and a conclusion will be reached regarding the new form of organization of the football team.
Contrary to all the fake news in the media, the Steaua club wants a private partnership where its role will be to protect the Steaua brand and track performance.
AS47 has sent a request to be part of a future association, to follow up and forward as transparently as possible information to the supporters”, is the message published by AS47 on Facebook.
Eight of the 20 teams in the 2nd League do not have the right to promotion to the SuperLiga after the start of the 2023-2024 season. It is about CSM Reșita, CSM Alexandria, CS Comunal Şelimbăr, Corvinul Hunedoara, CSA Steaua, CS Tunari, CSM Slatina and CSC Dumbrăvița: some are clubs under public law (and should be transformed into clubs under private law), and others does not comply with the rules imposed by the FRF regarding the minimum infrastructure for the SuperLiga.
