A 40-year-old woman from Bacău county and her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter were rescued, on Wednesday, by the police, after her cohabitant assaulted her and took her car and child, leaving for his home, according to News.ro .
The man tried to intimidate the police with an electric saw, but they managed to immobilize him and take the little girl safely. After investigations, it was determined that the man was drunk, that he did not have a driver’s license and that he was prohibited from approaching the woman, the minor children and their home. He was detained.
According to the Romanian Police, the officers of the 4th Podu Turcului Police Department were informed, on Wednesday, by 112, about the fact that a 45-year-old man from the locality had gone to the home of his 40-year-old concubine from the Motoşeni commune, which he would have assaulted her, stolen her car and taken the one-and-a-half-year-old girl, without the woman’s consent.
“The policemen’s checks showed that the man was forbidden the right to approach at a distance of 25 meters from the woman, the minor children, as well as from the house. At the level of Section 4 of the Podu Turcului Rural Police, an operative team was set up which, following the operative-investigative activities, established the fact that the man, after leaving the house of the concubine, together with the minor, would have traveled in the stolen car to his home, and when the police entered the yard of the building, he allegedly tried to intimidate them with an electric saw. The police acted promptly, they determined him to give up his gesture, being immobilized and taken to the police headquarters for questioning”, the IGPR showed.
Meanwhile, the other policemen who were there entered the man’s house, where they found the little girl and took her from the building, safely.
“Arriving at the headquarters of the Podu Turcului Rural Section 4, the presence of representatives of the DGASPC Bacău was requested through 119, who took the minor, interning her in a specialized center. Since the woman was not found at her home, in order to make sure that she was safe, the policemen proceeded to search for her, and she was found hiding in an abandoned house, at a distance of approximately two km from the home.” mentioned the Police.
Also, following the checks, it was determined that the man does not have a driver’s license for any category of vehicles, and while driving the car in which the girl was also, he was under the influence of alcoholic beverages, being tested with the breathalyzer, resulting in a value of 0.53 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air, later being taken to the hospital for the collection of biological blood samples, in order to accurately establish the blood alcohol level.
The man was detained for 24 hours, for hitting or other violence, deprivation of liberty, driving a vehicle without a driver’s license, driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or other substances, theft for the purpose of use and violation of the protection order . He was taken to the IPJ Bacău Prison, to be presented to the Prosecutor’s Office near the Podu Turcului Court, with a proposal for preventive arrest.
