Romanians take the seaside by storm during the Saint Mary’s mini-holiday. No less than 110,000 tourists are expected at the sea during these free days, according to the data provided by litoralulromânesc.ro, a tourism agency specialized in local Black Sea resorts.
The Saint Mary’s mini-vacation takes place at the sea
Prices start from 250 lei per room per night at a 3-star hotel and from 431 lei per room per night at a 4-star hotel.
“Half of August represents the busiest period of the summer season on the domestic coast, given that for many Romanians this is the traditional vacation period.
In addition, the fact that Mondays and Tuesdays, August 14-15, were declared non-working as a result of the Assumption religious holiday, makes many tourists head to the Romanian Black Sea resorts as early as Friday.
Under these conditions, at the level of the entire coast, the degree of occupancy is expected to exceed 90% during the extended weekend of August 11-15″, Litoralulromanesc.ro says.
The coastline is full of eyes
There are hotels and accommodation units that are 100% occupied, and the congestion on the seaside is already starting to be felt. About 110,000 – 115,000 people are at sea this weekend.
“Romanians who have not yet made plans for this mini-vacation have the chance to catch the last minute offers we have, but we must emphasize the fact that the availability, where it exists, is limited, and the rooms sell out at a fast rate .
The interest in the Romanian coast during this period is high, and the most successful are the tourists who managed to plan their stay at the sea in advance because they had more chances to find good rates and free places in the hotels they want” , says Ionuţ Nedea, CEO Litoralulromanesc.ro.
