A 55-year-old woman from Arad died after being caught and dragged by a tram. She put the stroller in which her 12-year-old daughter, with disabilities, was in the tram, and the driver closed the doors without securing himself, before the woman managed to get on as well, writes Aradon.
The woman and her 12-year-old daughter, in a wheelchair, wanted to take the tram to the UTA station. Vatman closed the doors of the tram without securing himself, left and caught the woman between the doors who suffered multiple injuries after being dragged by the tram.
Vatman stopped the tram after passengers raised the alarm.
The director of the Arad Public Transport Company specified for Jurnal Arădean/ Aradon that the woman did not fall under the tram, but was dragged by the tram.
The woman died at the hospital, a few hours after the incident.
The 12-year-old girl was not injured in the accident.
The police announced that a criminal case for manslaughter was drawn up against the 31-year-old Vatman.
