A ping-pong table fell on a 12-year-old girl, in a park in sector 4 of Bucharest. The girl was taken to the Marie Curie Hospital with a broken leg. Representatives of the town hall closed the playground, but refused to comment on the incident.
The ping-pong table would have fallen on the 12-year-old girl when several children would have climbed onto the table. The child now has a broken leg. The locals are not surprised by the occurrence of this accident, they say that they have made countless reports about the irregularities in the playground.
What the witnesses say:
“Absolutely nothing is considered.”
“Maybe now with this thing they will take some bigger measures. This ping pong table has been welded for 2-3 days.”
“I saw exactly when she fell. I found out what happened because the little girl was screaming and I took the phone, I called the police because the other children were already in a state of shock and shaking.”
“When I saw that she was screaming, I came and held her until a boy came to tie her leg.”
The representatives of the City Hall of Sector 4 reacted through a press release. They say they are in constant contact with the doctors who are in charge of the child’s care. Until the completion of the ongoing investigation, the playground where the incident took place will remain closed, the mayor’s office also states.
A few days ago, the prefect of the Capital, Rareș Hopincă, announced that he would check all the playgrounds.
