A teacher from Tulcea county was threatened with death by the father of a student, right on the class’s WhatsApp group. Enraged that he lowered his son’s behavior grade, the man left the group with the parents several audio messages, in which he addresses insults and threats to the teacher, but also to her husband. For his act, the man was sentenced to 7 months in prison with suspension, writes Replica Online.
The incident took place on June 7, 2022, when the teacher was teaching the 4th grade, at the Secondary School in the town of Zebil, Tulcea county. At the end of the second semester, the teacher sent a notice to the boy’s parents, informing them that he had lowered their son’s behavior grade.
The boy’s father, writes the quoted source, got angry and, in a moment of anger accentuated by his drunken state, sent three audio messages on the WhatsApp group with the parents of the students in the class at 21:55. They contained insults and threats to the woman, but also to her husband: “I’ll let them catch you, I’ll beat you and him! I’ll beat him anyway, you know I ran him over with the ax before… Cut your throat! I kill you!”
That same evening, just a few hours before, the man had also called the teacher’s husband, who is a policeman. After verbally assaulting him and threatening to beat him, the man sent him, at 19:52, two text messages on his mobile phone, in which he continued with the threats.
For his act, the father of the 4th grade student was sentenced to 7 months in prison with suspension. The sentence given on August 30, 2023 is not final.
