More than three years after the release of the last opus, EA Sports UFC 5 has just been revealed to the delight of fans of the discipline. No gameplay to get your teeth into, but a magnificent trailer that is already mouth-watering.
What’s new in EA SPORTS UFC 5
Developed with the Frosbite engine, the title published by EA aims to be even more realistic than the previous installments of the franchise, as evidenced by the change to the “M” in “Mature” issued by the ESRB. According to the latest rumors, the octagon could now see pools of blood appear on its surface.
Anyway, let’s focus on what’s official! EA SPORTS UFC 5 will therefore feature an all-new authentic damage system to bring the intensity of combat to life. Cuts and hits received affect mobility, defense, stamina and much more.
If a combatant suffers too much damage, a doctor will then come to ensure that he is able to continue the confrontation. Ground game enthusiasts should be happy to learn that new transition-based submissions will make grappling smoother and more realistic than ever.
Also, new cinematic slow motion KOs will be there to best immortalize the finishes. Finally, EA SPORTS UFC 5 will reward the most loyal players by offering exciting challenges around PPV (pay-per-view) weeks.
An impressive first trailer
This first video lets us admire a good part of what was listed above, namely the use of the Frosbite engine, the violence that will reign in the octagon, all the striking possibilities and even the new submissions.
Unfortunately, these are not gameplay extracts, but given the previous titles in the license, there is still reason to be confident. Rest assured, this is just a warm-up since the developer promises that gameplay is coming soon!
