The Mayor of the Capital, Nicuşor Dan, announced that the website infoaer.pmb.ro was launched, where the citizens of Bucharest can consult the data recorded by the 44 sensors for air quality monitoring, as well as the data measured by the PMB self-laboratory.
“We launched the website infoaer.pmb.ro. This is the first step of the communication and awareness campaign in the field of air quality, which the City Hall of the Capital is launching so that the citizens of Bucharest have real-time access to the information related to the air quality in the city. Also, here you can find the information on the strategies, programs and projects we run to improve air quality”, Nicusor Dan wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
On this platform, the citizens of Bucharest can consult the data recorded by the 44 sensors for air quality monitoring, as well as the data measured with the PMB self-laboratory.
“Among the pollutants measured are suspended particles PM10, PM2.5 and PM1, nitrogen dioxide (NO2), ozone (O3) and hydrogen sulphide (H2S). The purpose of these measurement campaigns is to better identify the sources of pollution, so that Bucharest City Hall can establish the most effective measures to reduce the concentrations of pollutants in the air. The sensors were received free of charge, within the Partnership for Healthy Cities, through the protocol signed with Vital Strategies in 2022. They were placed in partnership with the Center for Sustainable Policies Ecopolis in 44 locations throughout the city, at hospitals and nursing units education”, stated Nicusor Dan.
