In The Turquoise Mask of Pokémon Scarlet and Purpleyou can save 2 different shapes for your Poltchageisteven if they share the same regional number and will only take up one place in your Septentria Pokédex. In nature, you may come across the Expensive Form or the Imitation Shape, the latter being the most widespread. You will find Poltchageist exclusively in the bamboo forestsparticularly on the Trail of Joy southeast of Septemplion.
If you absolutely want the Expensive Form of Poltchageistwe advise you to fight with a Pokémon of small size to see the label below the Poltchageist easier. To achieve this, you need to position the camera behind the Poltchageist, slightly at an angle to see the underside. You can also see how Shape it’s on the capture screen, but you might catch a lot of Imitation Shape before coming across a Expensive Form.
The only way to evolve Poltchageist is to use a evolving object rare which has two variations: the He was mediocre where the Exceptional Bowl. You can find both in Septentria, regardless of your version of the game, but the choice of He was will depend on the shape of your Poltchageist. To evolve the Expensive Formyou will need the Exceptional Bowlwhile the Imitation Shape will require the He was mediocre.
You should be able to find a He was mediocrequite easily, since he hides in a cave in the Quiet Moornear the third sign that you need to find as part of the course d’orientation. As to Exceptional Bowlyou can find one in a cave in the far south of the Everlasting Forest.
