Today at 87 years old, the great voice of Romanian light music, has a life full of successes, but also of regrets.

The career of his lordship, which spans half a century, brought him extremely many achievements and fulfillments on a professional level, but on a personal level, as he recently stated in “After the deed and reward”, “I was not happy and I am not and never will be.”
“I was not happy and I am not and never will be. I’ve been through so much trouble, too much trouble, I’m missing something. It’s probably missing in my nature. My husband loved me very much, but he never understood me.
Why am I sad sometimes, what is the cause, that everything is fine? And he was right, everything is fine, but I’m not satisfied. I am not a gift for a man, I have to be loved very much”, declares Marina Voica.
Coming from the former USSR, from the town of Ivanovo, Marina Voica was born in full swing Bolshevik revolutionon September 3, 1936, and can be proud of the fact that it made it into the famous American specialty magazine car baro in 1974, also then receiving the diploma”Star of the year – Music week”.
After finishing the faculty, he permanently moves to Romania
Perhaps there are few who know that the great voice of Romanian music, although she is Russian, also has university studies, being a graduate of the Faculty of Finance and Credit in Moscow, where she would meet her future husband, Marcel Voica. After finishing college, the two would move permanently to Romania.
“I got married the year my mother died, I think if she hadn’t died I wouldn’t have gotten married. He set his eyes on me in college, but it wasn’t passion. After all, he was three years older than me and one year older than me, he had to go.
And then we got married. He stayed in Romania for a year to finish college. Instead, I became completely estranged from Marcel. When I saw him again I realized that I don’t love him..but I spent almost 6 years with him here. I was a victim,” says the star about her first marriage.

Her music career has an impressive track record of no less than 850 songs.
Marina Voica and her second marriage: “Viorel did everything possible to divorce me”
After the divorce from her first husband, with the help of Viorel, Marina Voica also tells, her life would change completely, but at the age of 40, the one she really loved would go to another world, and as she exclaimed, “Everyone started hitting me after Viorel died!”:
“Viorel did everything possible to divorce me, he took me to his mother. I stayed with him.. The first husband was not understanding with the divorce, the embassy called me. I left everything, only the piano brought from Russia I took.
Viorel went directly to the embassy and the Consulate, said “She will stay with me, with my mother, with my father. She will be my wife. She will divorce and be my wife.” He always defended me, he made friends with the Consul and they let me stay. We were single for two years.
My marriage was tumultuous, he couldn’t stand my quirks, I used to be entitled to everything, I started to treat him..superior. Viorel was a doctor, then I found out that he hadn’t finished college yet. My mother-in-law told me that she didn’t know, I thought he was a doctor, he worked at Salvare. He left me a widow at 40. I didn’t even know how much bread cost, I didn’t know what it meant to wash a dish.”
One of his biggest regrets. Why the actress did not have children
Neither from her first marriage nor from the one with her second husband, Marina Voica had no children, although she would have wanted to. But, he would reveal the reason for this situation in the same interview, being one of the delicate moments, actually one of the star’s biggest regrets:
“He wanted children, I didn’t. He realized that I had many problems.. I really had, apart from what I was feeling, my moods..
I was cardiac, he knew that. A doctor said there was no way I could have a baby. I would not have been a good mother,” revealed the artist.

Today, at her 87th birthday at the beginning of this month, she had a spectacular comeback in a big LIVE at this year’s “Mamaia” Festival, and the spectators applauded her on the open stage.
Although, as the star said, she was not happy and never will bemanaged to cheer up an entire Romania in a career spanning half a century.
