Alin and Medana Oprea, were the bride and groom of the year, last Friday, when they swore their allegiance. Medana offered us, exclusively for Playtech News, interesting details from behind the scenes of their fairytale wedding, where, for a few minutes, it rained with a bucket: “It’s a sign of plenty”.
Alin Oprea and Medana had the “Wedding of the Year”
Medana had a fairytale wedding last Friday when she danced like a princess at the party with over 500 guests and ten pairs of godparents.

She told us, with enthusiasm, about the happy event, where she shone, in the two wedding dresses, on the arm of the famous groom Alin Oprea, the soloist of the band “Talisman”.
Playtech News: Hi Medana, have a beautiful and happy marriage! It rained at your wedding. They say, however, that it will be a marriage with plenty, with plenty…
Medana Oprea: Yes, it rained right before the religious wedding, a moment that made me happy, by the way, because rain at a wedding represents growth and abundance.
I began to say a prayer and within 15 minutes the rain stopped so everything went perfectly normal and the wedding dance was still outside in the open air as originally planned. The dress designs were chosen a long time ago, when we already knew the location.
The decor at the event hall reminds you of a fairy tale, and that’s exactly how I wanted my dresses to be, because my whole relationship with Alin has been like a fairy tale, since 2019, since we met.
How the groom reacted when he saw her in her wedding dress

We also asked Medana about how the groom reacted, especially at the sight of the white wedding dress:
PȘ: What did Alin, your husband, say when he saw you dressed in the gorgeous white wedding dress? How did he react? He also dedicated to you “Valsul mirilor”, the piece being composed by Alin, especially for you. How did you feel that evening, was it, as you dreamed, like a fairy tale wedding?
Medana Oprea: Alin was dumbfounded and extremely emotional when I appeared dressed in a white dress with a veil on my head. They gave him tears and during the religious ceremony. I actually felt how happy he is for achieving a dream we both had since 2019, but which seemed impossible back then. And yet, in the face of true love, the impossible does not exist. On my wedding night I felt like a queen.
What they didn’t say, keeping it a secret, is that the newlyweds had no less than 10 pairs of godparents.
Medana Oprea: I felt the love, admiration and appreciation of all the guests and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for the effort to be with us on the most important day of our lives.
To our godparents, Maria Dragomiroiu and Bebe Mihu, Elena and Menis Yousry, Doinița and Ionuț Dolănescu, Sorina Pintea and Ovidiu Goga, Mirela and Elvis Nasturică, Carmen and Ion Petrescu (Axinte), Mihaela and Daniel Moldovan, Doina and Pavel Hălmăjan, Iuliana and Ninel Alexandru, Daniela and Aurelian Boiț, we want to thank them from the bottom of our hearts for being our spiritual parents.
It is a great honor for us to have 10 extremely valuable pairs of godparents who completed our family. We also thank Mr. Nicușor Stan, from the event hall, who contributed enormously to the “fairytale” of our wedding and who had ingenious ideas related to the presentation of the cakes. I would like to thank Alina Bedelanu, who took care of my makeup and took it to the level of art, and Monik Stiles, who is a sensational hairstylist, number 1 in Bucharest.
Why did Alin Oprea cry at their wedding
Playtech News: How was the party, did you follow any customs? Was the bride stolen, for example?
Medana Oprea: If Alin composed and dedicated to me “Valsul mirilor”, I did not let myself down either and dedicated a volume of poems and a song to him, prepared in secret with the great tenor Sorin Lupu, from the Opera from Cluj.

Medana revealed to us that this moment really moved her life partner:
Medana Oprea: This moment for Alin was extremely emotional, because he did not expect me to sing in any way and he cried like a child. The bride was not stolen.
I preferred to launch my first volume of poems, entitled “The Story of Eternal Love”, a volume that was awarded by Doctor Victor Constantin Măruțoiu, a member of the Writers’ Union, during the International Literary Festival with the prize for debut in poetry “Cornelia Caragea”, presented by the editor Nadia Farcaș from the Ecou Transilvan Publishing House.
Playtech News: What soul gifts have you received?
Medana Oprea: I received a lot of flowers and gifts from the soul, some of which I haven’t even managed to open yet.
I was impressed by the gift I received from Mrs. Maria Petchescu, the composer of the song “I loved you”.

Playtech News: Immediately after the wedding, Alin hurried to get to the concerts, having already signed the contracts. But when you go on your honeymoon, which beautiful and romantic place did you choose?
Medana Oprea: Next week we will go to Tenerife and have our first honeymoon, because there will be another one in Bali.

Playtech News: Tell us about the gorgeous wedding dresses worn on the wedding day, about the collaboration with designer Sonia Trifan. How did you choose the models?
Medana Oprea: The collaboration with Sonia Trifan was auspicious in my life. I felt her as a guardian angel, who played a very important role, exactly when she was needed. I was super excited about both dresses, which Sonia put so much soul into, proof that they turned out perfect.
All the guests were surprised and congratulated me on the choices made. Sonia’s professionalism, calmness and patience turn any bride into a goddess. When you enter her workshop, you already start dreaming and you don’t know which of the dresses to try on because they are all fabulous.
When I tried on the white dress and she put the white veil on my head, we both cried with emotion and hugged. I am extremely happy with our friendship, because these moments brought us even closer and I discovered how many common values we have. She is a gorgeous woman, a consummate designer and a rare human being.

Designer Sonia Trifan revealed the story behind the wedding dresses
The designer of the stars, Sonia Trifan, the author of the two wedding dresses, worn with elegance by Medana Oprea, on Friday, at her religious wedding with Alin Oprea, revealed to us, exclusively for Playtech News, the story behind the traditional wedding outfits:
“Medana chose fairy-tale, princess dresses. All the materials of both outfits were brought by me from Istanbul, we consulted, everything was chosen together. The turquoise-blue dress had more than 200 pink roses, and the white one had more than 800 special pearls, brought from Dubai, pearls.
It was a dress marathon, we started work around August 15th, we didn’t have Medana scheduled, but it became a priority. I have known Alin Oprea for over 15 years, he sang the “Bride and Groom Waltz” for me at the wedding, he has remained in my soul ever since.
I met Medana when we met in Bucharest, for the dresses, and I had that feeling that she was part of me, we complemented each other, there was a chemistry, we ended up becoming very good friends. I stayed at their wedding for 12 hours, with the whole team, me, my assistant, the make-up and hair stylists, so that we could change her into the second dress and so that she would always look perfect”.
