As part of recent redacted documents from the case between Microsoft and the FTC, Xbox’s entire strategy for the years to come has just leaked. This includes many elements, including a new Xbox Series X expected next year.
Nouvelle Xbox Series X 2 To
This new console will not be a “mid-gen” console, but rather a refresh of the current Xbox Series X, with a new design and new features, but similar power.
The most important element is that it will not include a Blu-ray player, so it is a 100% dematerialized machine which will also have 2 TB of storage.
The machine is codenamed Brooklynand will also offer Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth 5.2 compatibility, as well as optimizations and innovations aimed at reducing energy consumption.
New cylindrical design and new controller
The new design of the machine is also revealed via the leaked documents, and the console thus offers a design quite similar to the current Xbox Series X, but with the particularity of offering a cylindrical shape.
A USB-C port also replaces the USB-A port available on the front of the current Xbox Series X.
A new controller with haptic feedback will be included with the console. Similar to the DualSense of the PS5, it will also offer an accelerometer. Various pairing options will also appear while Microsoft also promises increased durability.
Same price, and release at the end of 2024!
In addition to the design and details on this new console, we also have a price and a release date. According to the document, the new Xbox Series X will be released at a price of $499 at the end of 2024.
It will be announced at the same time as another refresh of the Xbox Series S during the summer, between June and July 2024, logically during the Xbox conference in summer 2024.
We might as well say it right away, this is a massive leak that we are witnessing today and it is a safe bet that Microsoft will speak out soon to discuss the situation.
In the meantime, don’t hesitate to tell us in the comments what you think of this new Xbox Series
