Despite the release of BG3 on PC which began almost two months ago, Larian Studio continues to improve its game via updates. The opportunity for them also to add features that have been promised to players for many weeks.
Change your appearance, a recurring request from players
Although Baldur’s Gate 3 has been a huge success since its release, there were still a few points that upset fans of the game. One of these points was the fact that apart from before launching the game, it was impossible to retouch the physique of his character.
In most RPGs, this is a feature that we will find, but this was not the case in Baldur’s Gate 3 and it is rather a shame when we know the efforts made on many other points to make player immersion ever more important.
Faced with complaints from players, Larian Studio reassured everyone that this feature was coming, they just had to be patient. Well it seems that patience has paid off since a very large patch has just landed.
In this patch, we find for example full access to the game for Mac players who had been waiting for him for many weeks. But we also find this famous functionality allowing you to partially modify your characters. Here we explain how to access it.
In Baldur’s Gate 3, you will experience adventures, but you have a safe zone where theoretically nothing can happen to you or at least nothing that is not already scripted in the lore. This zone, this is the camp and it is quite logical that this is where the changes are happening.
When you go there, you will realize that a curious mirror has appeared and when you get closer to it, you will have the opportunity to change your appearance. Be careful though, because there are some rules to take into account!
With Patch 3 comes the Magic Mirror, which lives in your camp and allows you to change your Tav’s appearance whenever you’d like!

The first is that only characters created by players will be able to use this mirror. Indeed, if you go with one of your companions, it will not be possible to change their haircut for example. Besides, even for you, everything will not be possible!
In fact, you will be able to change your appearance, your voice or even your pronoun, but you won’t be able to change too big things, like your race. More surprisingly, it will also not be possible to change your body type.
