2022, the most difficult year for George Buhnici
In 2022, during the Neversea festival, George Buhnici horrified public opinion with a series of statements considered controversial. The former journalist said that he goes to the beach to see skin, not cellulite and stretch marks, also stating that he is lucky because his wife looks like a minor.

A year after the event in question, George Buhnici agreed to give an interview in which he discussed at length the situation at that time. The year 2022 was the most difficult on a personal level for the vlogger, as he confessed, but it was also a time when he evolved on multiple levels.
Although the situation created last year at Neversea 2022 was controversial and difficult, it helped him to evolve. Currently, George Buhnici claims that he is in the best moment of his professional career, being confident and in the future which he says sounds good.
George Buhnici’s biggest regret
“The first month I didn’t leave the house. I got out very little. I couldn’t watch TV anymore, I really didn’t know what to do. With all the experience, I had no idea, I didn’t know what to do.
Everything started in an avalanche, they were coming from all sides. I didn’t know what to do at such a time. I started making excuses for myself. I was in a limbo like that. The biggest regret was that Lorena, my family, had to suffer”, said George Buhnici.
The vlogger explained that, at that time, he thought he had the situation under control, due to the fact that people already knew him, carrying out professional activities through which he exposed himself to the public. That was also the reason why he became defensive at the wrong time, according to him.
George Buhnici mentioned that it took him a long time to let go of the idea that he had to stick to what he wanted to say, in the context of which something else came out. You are well-intentioned for nothing, if something bad comes out of your actions, explained the former journalist.
“When those words don’t fit the character there’s no point in trying to explain. It was a moment of pure stupidity, that was my moment of pure stupidity. What can I do? Should I emigrate, should I retire?”, expressed George Buhnici.
The consequences suffered professionally and personally
The statements made by George Buhnici cost him dearly, according to the revelations made in Mihai Morar’s Fain si Simplu podcast. In the first month, he did not shoot any material. In the first two weeks it lost 150 thousand subscribers. After six months, the growth rate resumed.
However, the losses were still felt and extended on several levels. George Buhnici let go of four very good people from his team, because he could no longer afford to pay them. He started to build a house, but stopped the work, otherwise he risked bankruptcy.
The vlogger said that he had no money set aside and that the reserves he and his wife had collected went into two or three companies where he works. 90 percent of George Buhnici’s partners understood his intention and the situation created. It was, however, a life lesson, according to him.
