A young woman of only 23 years, from Romania and settled in England, Manchester, turned all the jurors’ seats. Of rare beauty, Melisa brought tears to the eyes of the jurors, not only with her wonderful voice.
“My name is Melisa Antonesi, I’m 23 years old and I come from Manchester in England. I graduated from the musical faculty, I work part time as a receptionist. I went with my family, I got a bunch of hats when I got there.
Because the Romanians are not very well seen, they do not have a very good reputation there. I was also accused of theft at one point when I was in high school, but it was proven that I was not the one to blame.
Music for me was like an escape. When I applied here it was at a dead end. Having also graduated from college, now, recently, I was a little confused”, said the young woman.

What Tudor Chirilă asked her
Tudor Chirilă asked Melisa if she ever thought of returning to Romania. Although she does not rule out the possibility, the competitor confessed that she does not think she could readjust to the lifestyle in her native country.
“Are you planning to come back?” asked Tudor Chirilă.
“No, I wish I did, I always miss home, but I feel like I could never readjust to the lifestyle here, but never say never,” said the young woman.
“I am depressed by this situation, every time someone leaves the country I am depressed, my friends.. They should be ashamed of who they depend on and to whom people, maybe not so educated, but simple people have given their trust, for other people to go and send money home.
And let the people from home continue to keep in this country in leadership positions, in charge of education and etc., people who made 5 million Romanians leave Romania. You should be an example”, said Tudor Chirilă, with tears in his eyes.
“Thank you, you are right. Many young people of my age are abroad, I am alone from my family, I barely manage to see them. Please, it has nothing to do with the moment.
