Cameroonian Joyskim Dawa is the protagonist of a racist scandal after he was sent off in the match with Hermannstadt, which angered FCSB fans. He was racially insulted on social media by a former Rapid player, and FRF took a stand.
The insults addressed to Dawa
In the 60th minute of the duel between Hermannstadt – FCSB, score 2-2, in an outstanding match of the 5th stage of the Super League, Joyskim Dawa was eliminated after a foul from the position of the last defender. The Sibians received a penalty and equalized the score.

One of those who insulted Dawa is Robert Stănici, a footballer who played at Rapid, and is now registered at CSM Cetatea Turnu Măgurele, a club that operates at the level of League 3, series 6. “You are retarded? Two goals? Slab nenorocit, ești cel mai slab fundaș din Liga 1. Rahat prost, fucking n***a”, Stănici wrote to Dawa.
“Mistakes are part of football, but nobody can come and offend my skin. You can be disappointed, but please respect me and don’t be racist. By the way, the money you lose gambling is neither my business nor my responsibility. I’m paid to play football, not to make you rich. Thank you!”, wrote Dawa on the social media page.
Action taken by the FRF
The FRF took a stand in the scandal with a risque tone and announced the first measure it resorted to: it notified the Ethics and Discipline Commission. He also emphasized that he does not agree with such behavior, because racism has no place in football.
“The FRF took note of the information published in the mass media and, considering that one of the names circulated is Robert Stănici, a player playing at Cetate Turnu Măgurele, in League 3, the FRF administration notified the Ethics and Disciplinary Commission of the FRF. The Romanian Football Federation strongly condemns such behavior and reiterates that racism has no place in football!”FRF transmitted, according to Gazeta Sporturilor.
What explanation did the footballer who racially insulted Dawa give
After the start of the scandal, Robert Stănici claimed that Dawa edited the messages and that, in fact, he did not offend him, but only told him that he was a weak football player. He later turned around and changed his explanation, saying that he didn’t write the messages, but someone hacked his account.

Then the Rapid-bred player, who played just one game for the Whites and Cherries in December 2021, deleted his Instagram account.
FCSB is in first place in the championship, with 22 points, three points behind CFR Cluj.
