Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, now number two in the Security Council of the Russian Federation, said on Sunday that British soldiers training Ukrainian troops in Ukraine could become “legitimate targets” for Russian forces, as could German factories. that produce Taurus missiles if they would supply Kiev, reports dpa, according to Agerpres.
Medvedev, who has become a prominent figure in Russia’s anti-Western policy, said such measures by the West were bringing World War III closer.
In a post on Telegram, Medvedev first directed his anger at British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps, who said in a newspaper interview that London wanted to send military instructors to Ukraine in addition to training the Ukrainian armed forces. in Great Britain or other Western countries, as is currently the case.
“(This) will make their instructors a legal target for our armed forces,” Medvedev wrote on Telegram.
“Understanding perfectly that they will be destroyed without mercy. And not as mercenaries, but as British NATO specialists”, he also said.
Medvedev then turned his attention to Germany, denouncing those who want Berlin to supply Ukraine with Taurus cruise missiles that could hit Russian territory and try to limit supplies to the Russian military.
“They say this is in accordance with international law. Well, in this case, the strikes on the German factories where these missiles are made would also be in full compliance with international law,” Medvedev emphasized.
“These imbeciles are actively pushing us towards the Third World War,” Medvedev said.
