Game news Did you miss these Hogwarts Legacy goodies? Don’t panic, here’s how to get them!
With its recent release on Nintendo Switch, Hogwarts Legacy is making waves again at the end of 2023. While certain gifts were only available at the time of its initial release, it is now possible to collect them for free. We’ll explain how.
When Hogwarts Legacy was released last February, Avalanche Studios and Warner Bros. Games teamed up to offer some goodies to new players. Indeed, it was possible to recover some cosmetic elements for free by watching a few very specific streams on the platform Twitch. An event which was unfortunately limited in time and which therefore not all players were able to take advantage of.
Luckily, to celebrate the game’s arrival on Nintendo Switch, the developers have made all the gifts offered by Twitch Drops accessible to all players, regardless of the date they acquired the game or the console on which they play. To recover them, nothing could be simpler: all you have to do is launch the game while being connected to the Internet and using an official account of the platform on which you are playing (PlayStation, Nintendo, Xbox, Steam or Epic Games Store). When you get to your character selection, you should receive several messages on screen telling you that you have collected the bonus items. As a reminder, the gifts offered to players by Twitch Drops and now available to everyone are as follows:
- Glasses of the Charms Professor
- Gloves of the Charms Professor
- Charms Professor’s Set
- Spells Professor’s Scarf
- Kufi with tassel from the Charms professor
- Charms Professor’s Outfit
- Silver-rimmed “Dragon’s Eye” glasses
- Gavroche
- Carmine lightning scarf
- Lilac set
- Merlin’s Cloak
Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch, what does it mean?
On November 14, Hogwarts Legacy finally arrived on Nintendo Switch after nine months of waiting. The opportunity for players with a Nintendo console to experience the wizarding world a few hundred years before the events of Harry Potter. As a reminder, the Avalanche Studios game allows you to create your own wizard and even choose your house among Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin before living your fifth year at Hogwarts. Additionally, the game has an open world that goes well beyond the castle and allows you to visit Hogsmeade as well as the Highlands that surround the area.

However, it is difficult to imagine such a port on Nintendo Switch without fearing for the graphics and the number of frames per second. Far from being scandalous, this porting is still effectively done at the cost of a great visual loss (aliasing, lack of details, etc.), not to mention the 30 FPS which is not always very constant. Despite everything, the game remains pleasant to play with the controller in hand and will surely satisfy Potterheads who were eyeing Hogwarts Legacy but only had a Nintendo Switch available.
