After the massive worldwide success of the horror comedy, released in November 2022, the sets of the series have become a major attraction, contributing to the increase of tourism in Romania.
The production made by Tim Burton was filmed at the Polytechnic University, the Botanical Garden and Casa Monteoru, but other locations in Romania also appeared in the series.
The Sinaia Royal Station, the Dinamo swimming pool, the Cantacuzino Castle which is the Nevermore Academy in the series, or the Olga Greceanu Mansion are some of the locations that have fascinated foreigners and made them want to visit Romania.

Where will be filmed season 2 of the series Wednesday
Fans are eagerly awaiting season two of Wednesday, but the Romanian location presented logistical challenges, and speculation about a possible location change for the second season surfaced immediately after production wrapped.
Wednesday belongs to MGM Television, whose sister studio Amazon Studios recently had the experience of relocating a large series after the first season, in the case of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which moved from New Zealand to the UK.
No word yet on the thematic direction of Season 2 of Wednesday, created by Smallville creators Al Gough and Miles Millar and producer/director Tim Burton.

Wednesday is moving production from Romania to Ireland for Season 2, and is set to begin filming in April, Variety has confirmed.
